Did you know that Cinco de Mayo commemorates a pivotal battle in Puebla, Mexico in 1862 that led to the foundation of freedom and unity in the United States? It's true! Cinco de Mayo celebrations slowly spread from the Southwest throughout the US and in Puebla, and now hundreds of major festivals and events honor that unique time in history!
