Pubs: Rawsome Vegan Baking
Ho hum hot cross buns. Rather staid raisin rolls that primly present themselves at Easter feasts and Sunday brunches everywhere. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but sometimes you just gotta shake things up a bit. Emily's version bumps up this humble bun...no baking required and tinted with cinnamon and spice and raw vegan goodness!
Emily is sweetly spirited and remarkably talented when it comes to crafting raw vegan cuisine. She lives her life and chooses her foods with an emphasis on being healthy, compassionate and kind inside and out. She's an outdoor girl too, into hiking, camping, kayaking and fitness...vigorous activities that need nutrition so her recipes aren't just carrot cubes and lettuce leaves. This girl does raw right and gives you the goods on how to do it too. Her new cookbook is a stunner so check that out after you check out her fabulous frosted buns... ;)
Are you a fan of the rawsome life? Have you rawified an old standby dish into a surprising new delight? What recipe would you most like to make from heavenly Emily's site? :)

I do dabble in raw from time to time, and planning to go 80-100% raw this summer for a while. I haven't been very creative yet with raw cuisine though. I guess the dehydrated chia and linseed crackers I have on the blog worked well. I love Emily's blog, and would find it hard to narrow it down to choosing just one recipe to try. Maybe something chocolatey- she posted some mint choc candies a while back,,,
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I saw those marvelous minty patties...so melt-in-your-mouth yumful! :)
