Happy Whoopie Pie Day!

Blogger of the Day: Lynn at Scissors & Spice

Today is the Cookies for Kids' Cancer bake sale in my city...yippee! I've been holding and helping out at bake sales since I was a kid and this is one of the coolest, with vegan cookie sellers too! If you don't have a CKC event scheduled in your town, organize your own to help kids, then do one all vegan style to support your most cherished compassionate cause!  :)

Need cookie recipes? Lynn at Scissors & Spice has a boatload of the best! I love her superyumful Chewy Chocolate Chip Coconut Macadamia Cookies and Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies, and her crazyamazing Matryoshka Gingerbread Ladies and Henna Inspired Sugar Cookies...decorative deliciousness! Her eggnoggy Whoopie Pies arrive just in time for the holiday baking season. I'm not really sure how to categorize whoopie pies...are they cakelettes or pastries or cookies? Doesn't matter because they're always a hit at festive feasts, cookie swap parties and bake sales too! Give Lynn's recipe a try, then trip on over to her Scissors & Spice and Swedish vintage shops for stylishly sweet serving stuff!  :)

  1. There is a great place about an hour outside the city that makes all kinds of fabulously flavored whoopie pies. Too bad I don't like the owner more....
