Happy Jelly Doughnut Day!

Blogger of the Day: Allison at Vegan Mommy Chef

No, these aren't actual jelly doughnuts but they're waaay easier and so spinningly yumful!  :)

Allison's family has a few food allergies so many of her recipes are also soy-free, corn-free, flaxseed-free, nut-free and/or peanut-free too. I admire her ability to cheerfully juggle all those nutritional needs and keep her three smiley kids (and doodling hubby) happy and wellfed. Plus any mom who lets her kids wear their swimsuits on the outside of their pj's in the middle of winter just for the screaming fun of it, and then takes them shopping in those outfits just for more screaming fun, must be an allround crazycool genius of a mom.   ;)

What's your favorite jelly flavor? Do you like powdered sugar or frosting on your doughnuts? What else might be fun to stuff inside a doughnut?  ;)

  1. I love good old strawberry jam, or bramble jelly best, I think. Soy custard and applesauce would probably make a great doughnut... thanks for the links- I was intrigued by the non-soy tofu frittata- will have to try that for a change.
