Happy National Granola Bar Day!

Blogger of the Day: Sarah and Kristy at The Naked Kitchen
Pubs: Celebrate!: 50 Holiday Recipes to Bring Family & Friends Together (ebook), The Naked Kitchen Veggie Burger Book: Delicious Plant-Based Burgers, Fries, Sides, and More (to be released May 2014)

The Naked Kitchen rocks with recipes, resources and reviews with a healthy dose of vegan-targeted treats! TNK focuses on "clean" (unprocessed) plant-based foods, all-vegan since September 2011 with plenty of gluten-freeness and uncooked rawness thrown in, along with tips and tricks and meal plans too. Sarah is a certified Plant Based Nutritionist, certified Fitness Nutritionist and certified Holistic Nutritionist who also takes fab photos of her travels with her growing family...Kristy is a raw-lovin' vegan marathoner and mom who hikes the hills of California with her sweet dog Leo. Both are devoted to living superhealthy lives and spreading the veganlove!  :)

Groovy granola bars make an easy backpack snack, fast grab if you're too busy for breakfast and perfect backup stash if you're going to a new restaurant or family dinner that may not be vegan-friendly. Peace Patch Fact...back in my early inexperienced wandering days, I survived a week in a fabulous but remote youth hostel on a big bag of granola and a can of hot chocolate. That granola was this very hungry vegan's best friend!

Do you groove on granola bars? When do you most often eat them? Are you interested in nutrition or do you just love digging into the eats? Did you know you can become a certified Plant Based Nutritionist online?  :)

Celebrate some more with our 2014 Daily Food Holiday and Featured Blogger Series!

  1. I love the Naked Kitchen blog too. Im don't eat granola bars that often, but I enjoy them when I do. Yes, the nutrition is important to me, but the taste and texture has to be right too. Me and my daughter are currently into Nak'd bars, raw vegan bars based on fruit, nuts and seeds with some awesome flavours. (Watch the blog for our own home made version, coming soon...)
