Pizza Pride

Happy National Sausage Pizza Day!
My brother's first foray into vegan cooking was a vegan pizza...it was a magnificent mountain of vegan ham and sausage and cheeses, veggies and pineapple and I can't remember what else. A bit much for me but ohgoodgolly he was so proud of it! And I was so proud of him...that pizza rocked!  :)

  1. Whoa, that deep dish pizza looks amazing! That's a cute story about your brother and his plethora of toppings. I like lots of toppings too - especially roasted garlic, olives, bell peppers, and tomatoes. In addition, I almost always add cold ingredients to the top after it's finished like pickled jalapeño peppers or sauerkraut. My husband really loves plant-based meats on our pizzas, and so we regularly have Upton's bacon seitan, Yves pepperoni, or Upton's Italian sausage.

    1. That's the superfun thing about a jam-packed pizza...with every bite you discover layers of flavors and how they melt together in your mouth. And you can experiment with everything! Yumza!

    1. Definitely yes...there needs to be a Seitan Day. And a Tofu Day. And an Edamame Day too. :)
